This campground has 87 dry campsites with 50 supporting vehicles over 26 feet in length. It is open from midJuly to midSeptember and has easy access to the Going to the Sun Road via car and shuttle stop. The shuttle stop is within a fiveminute walk from the campsite. Note, there will most likely be a wait to get on the shuttle, but it is free and will take you to Logan Pass. We had to wait about fortyfive minutes in the morning. If you want to go to the east side of the park, you'll need to change shuttles at Logan Pass.

Located onsite are bathrooms (running water, toilets, and sinks, but no electricity), camper dump stations (to dump portable toilets and kitchen water), bear boxes (shared with your neighbor), water fillup stations, and dumpsters. There is no Internet connectivity (mobile or wifi) and no camp store.

Generator hours are from 8 to 10 AM, 12 PM to 2 PM, and 5 to 7 PM. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM.

We absolutely loved camping here. You are sleeping under all these massive trees. The air feels super humid and refreshing. It was a magical experience that we miss every day.

Avalanche Campground Tour | Glacier National Park



We’re Anna D and Adam, vloggers living in Colorado. After the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020, we decided to make more time to explore our own state in part for our own mental wellbeing and in part because we’d been living here over 5 years and had barely hiked more than 10 different trails. We married on Valentine’s Day 2010 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. #Travel has always been something that we both love and have done quite a bit of in the 16 years we’ve been together.
