Did you know that automation is being used to process VA claims? In December 2023, VA revealed the VSO’s Quarterly Update on Automation, and it contained some fascinating information about plans to automate administrative tasks and workflows. VA is already using this technology to process claims for tinnitus, migraines, and hypertension.

Next, VA will be testing the technology on several other claim types, like respiratory, scars, skin, and genitourinary claims. Ultimately, VA envisions more than 166 diagnostic codes utilizing the automation technology. All 54 PACT Act VA rating codes will be eligible for automation as well.
