STILL focusses on automated LiftRunner® tugger train solutions to make logistic processes more efficient by help of automation. These solutions enable a consistently automated flow of goods to the production line and make the clockcontrolled supply of production lines smarter and more economic.
The new tugger train solution handles all stations of the flow of goods completely automatically – the loading of the tugger train at the station as well as the route from the individual stations to the production line and the unloading station. It includes an automated STILL high lift truck EXV for loading and unloading at the stations, an automated tow truck which is in front of the tugger train, an automated LiftRunner® frame and a transmission station. These are the centrepieces of the STILL tugger train solution. There is a conveying system which includes two electrically driven roller conveyors instead of a trolley on the LiftRunner® frame. The automated frame is driven in front of the transmission station to load and unload the load. Two sensors ensure that the LiftRunner® frame is connected to the transmission station by lowering and positioning. The loading and unloading process starts by starting the conveying system. A further sensor stops the conveying process and ensures, that the load is completely loaded or unloaded.
The tow tractor with the LiftRunner® frame starts its route by automatically driving to the stations of the supermarket. The LiftRunner® frames are positioned directly in front of the transmission station which holds full pallets. These pallets have already been transported from the rack to the transmission station with an automated STILL high lift truck EXV. Then the automatic loading of the pallets to the EFrames starts. As soon as all LiftRunner® frames have been loaded the tugger train starts its milk run – the supply of the production line. At the first station the pallet with the material is unloaded with the automatic transmission station. At the next station the unloaded EFrame loads an empty pallet in the same way. As soon as the tugger train has driven past all stations of the line, delivered full pallets and picked up empty pallets, it transports the empty pallets to the stations, unloads them and picks up the prepared full pallets for the next tour.
