I had one day to learn the full 3.56 mile / 5.73 km course at the Autobahn Country Clue race track! How'd I do?

I was surprised at how quickly I picked up this track and my lines. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for learning new tracks which really paid off. This was my fastest lap, captured during the second last session (3:31:22). I spent the morning sessions learning the track and following the coaches lines. Once I was comfortable with the track itself I really focused on my two priorities for the day:

1. Smooth hand inputs, in particular my first 5% on the throttle.
2. Being more patient on corner entry by going deeper and paying attention to getting direction sooner at the exit. This track was perfect for this with so many late entry corners.

Autobahn Country Club is a located close to Chicago in Joliet, Illinois. It was the first purposebuilt motorsports country club in the United States, inspiring many others since its inception. $45,000 will snag you a membership here, so start saving if you’re interested!
