Our family made one of the best decisions ever when we decided to go to Asheville, North Carolina for Spring Break in 2023! We wanted to go to a destination we had never been to before that has a lot to offer families like ours! My partner and I are in a same sex relationship and have an autistic teenage son. Asheville is known for it's inclusivity as it pertains to different types of families and neurodiverse individuals. Our son loves nature and music so much!
We chose the hotel The Omni Grove Park Inn because of it''s beautiful grounds and view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the best sunsets!
Can't wait to stay there again! We ate on the grounds frequently and enjoyed live music in the enormous lobby at night.
During the days we explored the city of Asheville which has a cool food and art scene. We loved wallking around and we particularly enjoyed Gem Mining on a rainy day. We took a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway which was so amazing!
We got to experience a Sound Bath at Skinny Beats Sound Shop and our other favorite thing was the Forest Bathing experience with Asheville Wellness Tours! We also got to see how records are made at Citizen Vinyl on a tour we were invited to. Very cool experiences every day in Asheville! Asheville is also known for it's amazing water falls and hiking trails. I cannot wait to come back to experience more of Asheville! There is so much to do!
