Step aboard Australia's newest luxury train, The Great Southern, to see what the threeday, twonight 2600km journey from Adelaide to Brisbane via Australia's South East entails.

The Great Southern returned for its third season in 2021, its distinctive orange locomotives emblazoned with the kangaroo.

In this video you'll get to take a look inside both the gold and platinum class cabins; see all the meals as well as the kitchen where they're prepared; see highlights from the scenery along the route; and discover the tours included as part the trip.

A range of measures were in place to minimise health risks including the requirement to return a negative rapid antigen test before check in.
