Audi, along with 15 partners from the recycling, research, and supplier sectors, is working on the "MaterialLoop" project to reuse postconsumer materials from endoflife vehicles in the production of new cars. The aim is to avoid downcycling and achieve a highly efficient circular economy concept. In October 2022, 100 vehicles were dismantled and the targeted disassembly of individual components enabled the retention of highquality secondary materials for recycling. Audi wants to increase the share of recyclates in the Audi fleet and is also involved in recycling used automotive glass, plastics, and aluminum.
