First you attach a throw bag to a throw line then you throw the throw bag over a solid crotch or fork in the tree. The weight of the throw bag makes it easy to throw the bag and the shape and weight will also make sure the throw bag comes back down to the ground. When the throw line has been placed in the right position then the throw bag is removed and the climbing line is attached to the throw line. Next the climbing line is pulled over the crotch or branch and then the climbing system is installed. There are several methods to attach a throw bag or throw weight to a throw line.
