After a successful experimental cruise from New Jersey to Cape Canaveral, the Bahamas, and back we rushed down to Hatteras NC for 2 days at sea on the Stormy Petrel ll. Ironically, a Bahama Mockingbird had been photographed but not identified at Port Canaveral and was within sight while we sat in Port there, but wasn’t identified till later. We drove down overnight and got it at dawn, a sweet victory because it was our third time going to Florida for the wretch! Even more crazy, a Garganey was found in New Jersey where we cruised from, so we had to drive overnight up there from Florida! This was our third attempt for Garganey as well, so another sweet success!
