Asian SemiLonghair cat breed resembles closely to the Asian Shorthair, only except the fact that it has semilong fur. Asian SemiLonghair is well recognized in any Asian Shorthair or the Burmese patterns and colors.

Just like the Asian Shorthair, this breed was developed in Britain in 19 80s and it is one of the bestlooking felines that you can domesticate. They are lovable, affectionate, friendly, and adaptable.

The Asian Semilonghair is also referred to as Tiffanie or Tiffany, although for today we will stick with the official designation. If you are looking for a really beautiful, inquisitive, and sociable family cat, the Asian Semilonghair might be worthy of your consideration.

1. Asian SemiLonghair's Origin and history.

It is the most beautiful breed of the feline that originated in the Britain during 19 80s. They are often referred to as Tiffany. Their origin involves breeding of the Chinchillas with the other beautiful longhaired Burmilla felines. So, the breed that was developed after the cross was a longhaired beautiful cat with silky fur. They are affectionate and playful.


2. Asian SemiLonghair's Physical characteristics.

When it comes to their coat color, all colors are recognized like blue, slate grey, chocolate, sable, lilac, red, cream, tortoiseshell, except white. The recognized patterns are diverse and similar to those of the Burmese and Asian breeds.
The eye color depends on the coat pattern, golden yellow for solid or sepia patterns, and green for silver patterns.

Asian SemiLonghairs are medium in size, they have a heavy body with a strong frame, ending with a tail that is fairly thick at the base and quite furry. Their legs are thin, with the hind legs being higher than the front ones. Their fur clings to their body and is longer at the collar, belly, breeches, and tail. The head is shaped like a short triangle, medium in size, has large cheekbones, and a slightly rounded snout. Their eyes are large and wellspaced and their ears are mediumsized, broad at the base, and rounded at the ends.

The male Asian Semilonghair will usually grow to between 13 and 15 pounds in weight, with females being a bit smaller and usually topping out between 11 and 13 pounds in weight.

The Asian Semilonghair is a mediumlarge size cat. They have really silky, smooth, and luxurious fur. They tend to have a fairly compact body, with slender and muscular legs, a broad chest, a somewhat small and rounded face, round eyes, a short snout, and upright triangular ears.

Your average male Asian Semilonghair will grow to a maximum of 12 inches in height at the shoulders, with females usually being a couple of inches shorter.
