The Asian hornet (Vespa Velutina) is currently being spotted around the UK at an alarming rate, fears are that they may already be established.

Since it is still early and we may still be able to prevent these hornets from establishing themselves in the UK it is important that the public can tell the difference between them and the native European Hornets (Vespa Crabro)
