BREAKFAST
Our top pick for breakfast is Biscuit Head, a casual Southerninspired diner in West Asheville with famous “big as yo head” biscuits as the basis for many of their dishes. In the downtown area, Early Girl Eatery andTupelo Honey also make our list.

LUNCH
For lunch, our top pick is Benne on Eagle, a new add to the area called “The Block.” In 2018 the 5time James Beardnominee John Fleer, opened Benne to honor the African American influence on Appalachian cuisine. For a midday meal in West Asheville, Sunny Point Cafe is our pick. For vegetarian in downtown, visit the Laughing Seed Cafe.

QUICK BITES
If quick bites are more your need, then try “Bomba” for Latin treats in downtown Asheville. But for Indian chaat (street food) go to the funky, casual Chai Pani. For a scrumptious taco selection, visit one of the three White Duck Taco Shops in the Asheville area.

DRINKS
Our top pick for drinks is Capella on 9, one of US News & World Report’s Top 50 Rooftop Bars Around the World. They are located atop the 9 floor AC Hotel in downtown Asheville. There is also Wicked Weed, housed in their original brewing site and is a wonderfully historic place to eat dinner and try their hoppy IPAs, fermented Belgians, and barrel aged sours. Last but not least, there is Battery Park Book Exchange and Champagne Bar where you can drink amongst thousands of books or enjoy live jazz on the dog friendly patio.

DINNER
For dinner, our favorite place is Zambra, a Spanish Tapas restaurant in downtown Asheville. Bouchon serves up delectable, locally sourced French comfort food in an endearing space that features an open kitchen and alley patio. Curate is found within a former 1927 bus depot and specializes in Spanish small plates and drinks.

DESSERT
If your sweet tooth is begging for attention, our top pick is Asheville’s iconic Double D’s Coffee and Desserts, found within a double decker bus. The French Broad Chocolate Lounge uses carefully sourced beans to pamper their guests with todiefor chocolates, truffles, and sweets. For the ice cream lover, visit the Marble Slab Creamery, a small batch ice cream shop that likes to mix a wide variety of fresh toppings into their creations.
