Archie is a 8 month old male Goldendoodle. He is super friendly and happy about life, but tends to show that love in excessive jumping and wild puppy behavior. He pulls on the leash and will jump on his hind legs to try and get to people or dogs. He can’t walk by any distraction without trying to pull towards it and really has no manners out in public or at home. He also lacks any duration and is ready to start growing into an adult dog and lose some of his undesirable puppy behaviors.

During Archie’s 2Week Board and Train we took him out in public and worked him around a bunch of different distractions. He learned to walk by people and other dogs and did his very best to build his impulse control to not run up to them. We worked on him not jumping every time he is excited and showed him that he will get attention with all 4 feet on the ground. Archie learned his heel command and can now walk loose leash past distractions without pulling his parents all over the place. Archie learned a lot during his training but didn’t lose his zest for life! He is still his happy excited self, but now with a better form of communication in place so everyone can be happier moving forward. Archie also can now go out in public with his family more often so his freedoms have greatly increased!
