Remote controlled hammer destroyer AS 1000 OVIS RC

Hearing the word "remote controlled" we immediately understand that this is a very special machine!!

The possibility of remote control combined with the high horsepower of the machine make it ideal for highway slopes, for catchment areas, for river beds, for photovoltaic parks and in general for hardtoreach areas with large slopes, where it is not possible to do work with larger machines.

Thanks to the very low overall height of the machine (69 cm) and the "recessed" Vanguard Professional engine, the machine achieves an ideally low center of gravity to be able to operate on huge slopes and under obstacles (photovoltaic panels, barriers, etc.).

Its weight is 395 kg, while its weight distribution and construction allow work at over 50 degrees of inclination.

The movement of the machine is done with crawlers, giving maximum traction on loose and highly inclined ground.

The cutting part consists of 56 hammers (knives) or 28 pairs of knives that form a Y shape. The knives can be cut from both sides so that they can be exchanged in case of damage. On the plus side, the very easy replacement of the knives even in the field of work with the use of a tool by unscrewing a screw.

The useful width of the cutting element is 100 cm, while the cutting height can be adjusted from 3 to 11 cm high.

The engine used is the B&S Vanguard VTwin 627cc and has a maximum horsepower of 23hp.

The transmission of the movement to the cutting part is carried out directly without losses with a belt.

The dimensions of the machine are 184 cm long, 112 cm wide and 69 cm high. The front of the machine which is the cutting element is raised reducing the length to 159 cm for even easier movement or transport.

The speed at which the destroyer moves is adjustable from 0 to 5km/h for both forward and reverse movement.

The tests were carried out on different terrains in order to record the effectiveness and capabilities of the machine.
Tests were done on reedbeds up to 4m high, in swampy terrain where the destroyer moved very comfortably and efficiently safely.
He was transported with the trailer I have to a field with bushes up to 1.5m high, where very quickly, without much resistance, he was able to clear the area by crushing the bushes and also a small tree that was found in front of him with a diameter of 5cm.

In order to record its effectiveness and on uneven terrain with a steep incline we went up the mountain to an uncultivated olive grove.
During the tests, cleaning work was carried out on a steep slope with bushes and stones. The destroyer's blades made contact with rocks several times without being damaged.

Its remote control was very easy as it moved very efficiently and safely between steps (terraces). In the end, a cleaning was done on woody bushes (holly, holly), where its effectiveness and possibilities were even more apparent.

The destroyer's crawler drive, its ideal weight combined with its engine power make it extremely effective for difficult and rugged terrain.
