Join us for a fantastic day driving through Arizona as we continue our road trip across the USA and see a bunch of Route 66 and iconic road stops in April 2024! On this day, we visit a 50,000 year old crater caused by a meteor crashing into the earth, aka Meteor Crater, visit a bunch of cool and iconic Route 66 stops, including the famous WigWam Motel in Holbrook, AZ that inspired by the Cozy Cone Motel in the Cars films, the also famous 'Here It Is' Jack Rabbit Trading Post, Standin' On the Corner in Winslow Arizona, and the ruins of some once famous roadside Route 66 stops like the former Twin Arrows ruins and Meteor City. Meteor Crater and Meteor City that we visit in this video, were both featured in the 1984 scifi film Starman, and we really enjoyed the dry heat, desert air, mountainous and rocky terrain, mixed with quirky roadside icons of Route 66 and the classic days of the Great American Road Trip!

This is my favorite kind of road trip day, seeing all sorts of amazing sites, from natural wonders to man made curiosities, some left to time and the elements, some still chugging along keeping Americana alive!
