Brazil’s dream of an Olympic Gold ended in spectacular style after they were thumped 30 by archenemies Argentina in the Worker’s stadium in Beijing. A feist firsthalf ended goalless with both teams failing to break the deadlock but secondhalf goals from Aguero (two) and a penalty from Riquelme gave Argentina the victory they deserved and a place in the final vs Nigeria. Argentina went on to win Olympic Gold as they defended their Athens 2004 top spot with another impressive olympic outing.
