Trout season is officially underway throughout the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region in this weekend ahead, with NJ and PA opening on Saturday the 6th, and New Castle County, DE reopening to young anglers on Saturday and all licensed anglers on Sunday. But kicking of this week's video fishing forecast from Old School Outdoors near the Delaware River, we talk jumbo stripers in the Garden State, not just on the Delaware and Raritan but an Easter Egg left behind by a good fish off Lavallette the other day in the form of a MiniPAT satellite tracking device. Bottom line, stripers don't read the textbooks, so they don't really know what the experts expect of them! Spend the first 10 minutes this week talking stripers, and then (10:00) it's on to this week's trout rundown and a weatherrelated look at foul weather gear, then take a look around inside (13:55) one of New Jersey's newest tackle shops out off Route 29 in Ewing, not far from the Delaware River shad fishery. George (15:40) has your weekly report from the Pocono Mountains, tautog action is back for April (21:00) at the Jersey Shore, a look at how recent rains and upcoming lunar events (23:00) could impact the local action, and finally (24:45) we have a little fun with facts this week while tackling viewer comments about the differences between NY and NJ, and the pork roll vs. Taylor Ham divide.
