Hi guys, this is my first video talking about the GKS/KGSP application process + tips etc. I made this video because during my application last year, I watched a ton of videos on Youtube and some were really helpful (so paying it forward basically). I would like to put out a disclaimer and reiterate that whatever I mentioned is entirely my OWN PERSONAL OPINION. Sorry if its really incoherent and unstructured and while editing, I realised that there were many things I wanted to mention but forgot to and its also really awkward lol. I kept staring at my laptop even though there's nothing on the screen lmao and I kept fidgeting cause my ondol was crazy hot. Also, I kept on pausing so that's why the video cut is kinda weird... If there are any questions, please feel free to leave a comment but please do not ask questions that are already readily available online and please do your own research if you are serious about applying! DON’T REPEAT YOURSELF (You only have one page to sell yourself)
DON’T MAKE IT A SOB STORY AND SELFVICTIMIZE
EVERY SENTENCE NEEDS TO HOLD MEANING AND SHOULD BE IMPACTFUL.
DON’T LIE

DOs:
Address all the 5 points and coherently link it to the major you want to apply to (briefly)

Be SPECIFIC and provide solid examples and your takeaways and reflections

master the art of being subtle when talking about your achievements and strengths (basically be humble and let the facts and your reflections do the talking)




Goal of Study:

why you want to apply for this major (you can bring in your relevant experience or skills that you already have)

your research thesis and why you want to do that specific research (which stakeholders are involved, who can benefit from your research etc)

bring in statistics or information to actually show why your research can create value and insights

you can write about the courses you are interested in, professors findings that sparked your interest, etc
