Welcome to this meditation for calming anxiety. This meditation guides you to find peace by accepting your situation. Most anxiety is temporary and is often made worse when being very tightly focused on minute details; instead it may be more beneficial for you to broaden your focus and attention, even slightly.

Guided meditation is a great way for a beginner to quiet the mind. With practice and training it will become easier to move onto your own meditation practice.

Radical acceptance, in my view, is the idea of accepting yourself, warts and all. Often, when we feel anxious, we're worried about old mistakes, replaying them in our minds. Or worried about what the future holds for us. But radical acceptance lets you accept whatever has happened, or will happen because it's not as important than what is happening right now.

Acceptance is particularly important when it comes to your emotions. So often we push away or hide our emotions because it's not nice or polite to let it all show. It can also be difficult to experience the more negative emotions such as anger or sadness. Like they'll swallow you up and consume you if you let them take a hold. But this can often do one of two things: 1, make the emotions keep coming back more and stronger until you acknowledge them or 2, get stuck in your body as a psychosomatic issue.

So, do something different, try finding some radical acceptance.
