While playing Last Day of June, a journey through a character's grief over the loss of a loved one, I found myself lamenting my inability to connect with the game on the level it was working on. By the end, though, a curious inclusion in the game's wider construction had fully pulled me into the experience and over time guided me through my own little adventure in examining the game on my own level removed from the story it tells and characters it represents. Turns out when you get amazingly talented idiosyncratic rock stars to scores you game stuff happens.
