On November 29th, 2023, MSK clinical care staff were special guests at a screening of the new Netflix documentary, American Symphony. The film tells the story of Grammy and Academy Awardwinning musician Jon Batiste as he’s reaching a career high just as his wife Suleika Jaouad faces a leukemia recurrence and undergoes her second bone marrow transplant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After the screening, Jon and Suleika, as well as the film's director Matthew Heineman and Suleika's MSK bone marrow specialist Sergio Giralt, participated in a Q&A led by Erin McDonough, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Communication Officer at MSK.
