Imagine my surprise when I learned that not only did England (and basically the entire UK) have a civil war, but England in fact had THREE civil wars?! After learning about the history of the British Empire I knew one of the next things I had to react to was about the English civil wars. I am very interested in learning about this point in English history from an American's perspective in part because America experienced its own civil war as well.
