However, the smaller model is considerably cheaper at £90 vs the £150 10inch tablet.

That extra cash buys you a bigger screen with a sharper FHD resolution, which also serves up warmer, nicer looking colours. Performance is improved for the HD 10 as well, with a faster Mediatek chipset for gaming on the go. However, Amazon's Fire HD 8 2020 also comes in a Plus version with more RAM if you need it.

Kids will prefer the smaller and lighter 8inch tablet, which is a lot easier to handle. As for the rest of the specs they're almost identical, while both tabs also deliver 10 hours of nonstop video streaming each time you charge the battery.
