On January 7th, 2022 I was solo camping on an island near the mouth of the Tampa Bay in Manatee County, Florida. I was awakened early by the sound of thrashing in the water. I had just 12 minutes of battery life left on my drone but decided I should at least fly it out towards the sound to investigate. I am so thankful I did. What I caught on camera was a dolphin playing with a dead sheep’s head fish. While playing and eating, the dolphin is approached by what appears to be two different bull sharks. Bull Sharks are very aggressive sharks but fortunately do not grow to be large. The dolphin narrowly evades them both and manages to keep the majority of his breakfast. At one point, you can see the dolphin begin to notice the drone that is following it and it starts exhibiting playful activity because of it. You may also notice that the dolphin seems to have some lacerations along its back. These may be from a motor boat propeller hitting it. All footage is raw and unfiltered.
