If the 2024 GMC Yukon and longwheelbase Yukon XL seem very similar to the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, they are. Cut from the same giant cloth, the fullsize Yukon lives up to its Chevy counterparts, providing the same passenger and cargo options, but designed to portray a more stylish lifestyle.

Inside, there are three rows of seats that can accommodate up to eight passengers. The base engine is a 355horsepower V8, but a larger 420horsepower V8 is available. Choose the turbodiesel inlinesix for the best fuel economy with an EPAestimated 27 mpg. Despite relatively luxurious prices for the top trim, even the Denali and Denali Ultimate versions of the Yukon can't match the luxury exemplified by the Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator. Instead, the Yukon and Yukon XL shine in their midlevel SLT and AT4 trims as slightly raised variants of their Chevrolet siblings.
