Aguadilla Puerto Rico 1941

Follow
Kodak Retina

The images you are about to see here were taken by a US Army Ordenace officer and his wife while stationed in Puerto Rico in the summer of 1941. New to the island, they photographed the beaches, roads, housings conditions, daily life scenes and ways of transportation. They also photographed the construction activities of Borinquen Field (later Ramey AFB) in the west end of Puerto Rico, in the municipality of Aguadilla. Description of locations given as found written on the Kodachrome and Anscochrome color slides.
