The "Squirter Project:
A water filled 5.3 experiment.

This was a 5.3 that I bought for my C10 but I quickly found that one bank was full of water when I pulled the plugs out and attempted to rotate it. It squirted water out across the garage. Two cylinders were rusted up and wouldn't rotate completely. I got a refund on the motor and was told to throw it away.

Before I tossed it, I came up with the "Squirter Project" idea and presented it the AG4L viewers. The viewers sponsor the project and it made for a fun time.

I sand papered the rust out of the cylinders without dissasembly and put the heads back on after milling them .045". I then ran it to see how it'd run. It ran so well that I slapped a cam in it and dropped it into my '92 Camaro and drove it to LS Fest 2013. While there I got it on the dyno.
