According to experts, it appears that Africa is seeing a split. In March, heavy rains led to major problems in Kenya, flooding neighborhoods, causing hospital walls to collapse and shutting down major highways. And now, geologists say the downpour led to the discovery of a fault line that will cause the continent to divide into two in the next tens of millions of years.

The continent will get smaller, and a large island will appear in the Indian Ocean. This island will consist of areas of Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and Tanzania and will also include the Horn of Africa.
