00:00 Located in the extreme northeast of Afghanistan, the Wakhan corridor is bordered by the peaks of the Hindu Kush and culminates at almost five thousand meters above sea level.

This forgotten region of Afghanistan is the only one to have been spared. Its inhabitants live there as in the Middle Ages, without running water or electricity, and live mainly from barter. The only road that crosses the corridor is difficult to access, carved into the mountainside, often buried under several meters of snow. A few rare adventurers driving old Russian trucks venture there several times a year to supply the isolated corridor, and exchange basic necessities for sheep and yaks.
