What you'll need:

Beeswax:
Start with beeswax. If you're a beekeeper or know one, use yellow beeswax. With raw yellow beeswax, you won't obtain the same color when adding wax dye, but the honey smell and wax properties are more valuable, in my opinion. When buying white beeswax from the shop, finding the right one may take some trial and error—I tried about 5 types before finding the right ones (I will leave my affiliate links to the waxes I use below). White beeswax is often mixed with cheaper alternatives like paraffin and labeled as 100% organic beeswax, but the wax properties are not the same. Beeswax should be sticky and flexible to sculpt with. I use beeswax from two brands. One is too sticky to sculpt alone but is good for beginners, and the other is less flexible. Mixing them gives me the right consistency. You'll find your ideal consistency only by trying and failing. When looking for the right wax, make sure you buy in small quantities first.

Tools:
You can use parchment paper or a baking silicone mat for the petals. Use a spoon and a heatresistant pot to melt the wax.
I use a coffee mug warmer (link below), but it can be done in a wax heater or double boiler.
Wax dye and fragrance oils are optional.
Use hand cream to prevent the wax from sticking to your hands.
Wooden egg I found it in a charity shop, use anything similar shaped or a hard boiled egg to start with.
Cotton candle wick.
