Here I explain how a contactor works in an air conditioning system as well as how to replace a faulty unit. If you need a new contactor be sure to do the following:

1 Be sure to confirm the coil voltage.
2 ‐ Order the correct number of poles.
3 ‐ Verify that the replacement is at least the same or higher amperage as the one you are replacing.
