ABUNDANT BEAUTY and an IMMORTAL STREET a privileged conjunction in BOSNIA

With my wife Dace we went through this side of the map again to share it with you and we arrived at Jajce, definitely a privileged place, within Bosnia and Herzegovina, with its waterfall nestled at the junction of two very diverse rivers.

I walk through the city of our youth and look for a street to name myself. The big, noisy streets, I leave them to the greats of history. What was I doing while the story was being made? I just loved you.
I am looking for a small, simple, everyday street through which, without attracting anyone's attention, we can walk even after death.
It is not important that it has a beautiful landscape, nor that there are birds. The important thing is that any man or dog in danger can have refuge in it.
It would be beautiful if it were paved, but this is not essential either. The most important thing is that on the street that bears my name, a misfortune never happens to anyone.
The poetry that I have just shared with you is entitled “A street for my name”, by the Bosnian poet Izet Sarjlić. A good way to travel and feel the soul of a place is undoubtedly through its exquisite feathers.

As we toured Jajce, with its medieval old town, its openair cafes, and the aroma and sun displays, we felt that poetry accompanied us in silence.

And it is that we are in the heart of Bosnia, between the unknown veins of the Balkans, there where the spilled blood continues to beat under the stones.

That is why we share the words of Izet, the witty search for a street that immortalizes a perhaps lost love.

We sincerely recommend a visit here. If in itself this country is a jewel full of beauties to discover, finding this corner of paradise has exceeded our expectations.

Traveling is hyperliving. We will continue lost in these immortal geographies, which not even the war could damage.
