Goldenley Care home was an end of life home.
Owners decided to close the home, which was graded as inadequate by the Care Quality Commission in september 2017 and put into special measures,citing financial difficulties brought on by sanctions from the CQC and Wiltshire Council.
Residents were found new homes in December 2017.


An employee said it was the worst place she has ever worked. The report also refers to six breaches of care regulations, unkept rooms, stained walls and some incidents of staff unresponsiveness to residents' needs. It did however, refer positively to some staff engagements with residents.

On october the 8th 2022 it was opened to host “Horror at the haunt” a paranormal research evening.
