The coldest day of the year was the last day of the long weekend.
The forecast said it would be sunny, so when I opened the curtains, the snow outside was such a pleasant surprise!

I just took NekoKichi out for a snowy walk the day before, but this was the first snow in 4 years at our house.

The cats were all very surprised, and curiously gazed outside, but once the snow changed to rain, it all melted away.
