But first, on Thursday the Federal Communications Commission ruled that AIgenerated robocall scams are now illegal, under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991. This comes after thousands of New Hampshire primary voters were surprised with a robocall deepfake of President Biden, asking them to save their vote for the November election.
