I found it strange that they went back to a similar shaft lock like the Dremel 3000, and removed the type of shaft lock button that the Dremel 4000 used. The model 4000 shaft lock was superior in my view, but Dremel may have a reason for doing this.

Make sure to loosen the screw hidden underneath the sticker, it took me a while to realize there was a screw there.
