Today I pulled the motor and transmission out of the '69 bug. they came out pretty easily all things considered. I also figured out some details on the motor. It appears to be 69mm stroke, big bore pistons/cylinders, a mild cam, 041 heads, stock 1.1 VW rockers on solid shafts, chrome moly pushrods, and an 8dowel crank and flywheel. Hopefully the crank is counter weighted. we'll soon find out!
