This week’s video is the continuation of a very full travel day! After our stay at the W.H. Lyons Fairgrounds and visiting Sioux Falls (here is that video if you missed it:    • IS IT STILL A GOOD OPTION? | OUR BEST...   ), we headed off towards Badlands National Park.

On our way, we decided to finally stop at the Dignity of Fire and Sky Statue and were completely blown away, not only by this incredible piece of art, but also by the beautiful museum that is also at this rest stop! The stunning sculpture is right off of I90 before crossing the Missouri River heading West and is definitely on our recommended stops list now!

The plan was to stay on the wall in Badlands at one of our favorite boondocking spots, but the weather was looking pretty rough, so we decided to just do a drive through of the park with the rig. These types of parks are some of our favorites, because even if you are short on time and can’t stay in the area long, you still get to experience the landscape and beauty even with your rig attached.

The incredible scenery hits you right away when you enter the park. We pulled off at the first overlook right after the park entrance to see the stunning white and orange stripes down into the many canyons of the Badlands.

The weather was supposed to hold off for a few hours, but we got nailed while still driving through the park. Thankfully, we made it through the heavy rains and wind, and the sun was shining by the time we got back out to I90, just as Corey predicted!

Soon after leaving the Badlands, Corey had to slow down for some pieces of tire in the road, and we were able to pull over and help out a fellow Grand Design owner who was on his way to Sturgis on his first RV trip and had blown a tire. Thankfully, we had all the tools he needed to get it changed and were all back on the road in just about 15 minutes!

Our insane day ended with us pulling into Keystone, South Dakota, with a pretty spectacular view from our campsite!
