A Better Kind of Me, Jeremy Rasch, Live POV Surfing Music Video, by @JeremyRasch, is the music video for the studio version of my second song, A Better Kind of Me. A Better Kind of Me was my second single from an album I’m writing one release at a time Nov 2023 to present (5/18/2024). This video is from a surf session with my best friend, Sasan, at 10th Street in Del Mar, CA on 3/3/2024. We rarely surf late in the morning after the sun is up so I wanted to use this footage for this 2nd music video that features a studio/streaming version of one of my songs. I’d done a similar video for this song as a live performance recorded on the train tracks at Del Mar 15th street after a surf session on 12/27/2023. This video includes live Point of View (POV) surfing video of me surfing with Sasan on 3/3/2024 at Del Mar 10th Street on a pretty big day with around a 4 ft swell. Sasan and I were both a little on edge this day in the water as waves in Del Mar are typically much smaller.
This video combines my passion for producing uplifting songs and for surfing. A Better Kind of Me is the second song that I've written and put on YouTube. This song is meaningful to me as it highlights the importance of the friends and family in our lives and how we should make them a priority throughout our lives. A good friend is absolutely irreplaceable and I have so many regrets as I’ve realized that I’ve done a really bad job of staying in touch with friends in my life. I moved from Alabama to California, and changed jobs and social circles, and realize very few of those people I even talk to anymore. If you are one of those people, from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry and I’m going to try to do better from here on out. This song helping me commit to this goal of treating everyone in my live with the utmost love and priority. Please apply it to your lives and if you ever see me at 15th street Del Mar at first light, don’t hesitate to come hug me or shake my hand (between waves of course), and if I ever drop in on you in the surf, for that I’m very sorry also and please forgive me.
Positive change in the world can happen when we all realize collectively that change starts with each of us and we can choose to hold onto the friends in our lives and to learn to love them like we love ourselves.
