I've been to Joshua Tree more than a dozen times, most recently just 2 weeks ago where I start my New Years by doing a couple of hikes (Lost Horse Mine, and Ryan Mountain). Heck! I've even driven down the Old Dale Road offroad trail 6 times. But there's so much I haven't experienced yet. There's many hikes and hidden historic homesteads I've yet to visit.

On January 12th, 2024, I was a groomsman in my friends wedding, 6 house away in Phoenix Arizona. Between Joshua Tree and Phoenix, there isn't much in terms of points of interest, towns or land marks; it's just a giant expanse of land that is void of civilization.

On the way back from the wedding, the Wife and I planned to camp out and do some hikes. Our friends Jae and Angie and their kids joined in. In this episode, we take the back road into Joshua Tree via Berdoo Canyon road, camp along the way, and do our hike the following day.
