Naka Home by Dhanie & Sal

This time, Arsitag visited the small house designed by the Dhanie & Sal architectural firm. Accompanied by its principal, Salman Rimaldhi, the Arsitag team had the opportunity to thoroughly review this simple but charming growing house.

Having a compact design with a total area of 90 square meters, Naka Home is designed with an introvert concept that has minimal openings towards the front and focuses on the back and side gardens. Even though it seems closed from the front, this house is actually very open from the side and back. The room feels bright and cool with views of green tree leaves and grass.

The interior feels warm and intimate with careful curation of wood finishing materials combined with natural stone patterned floors and neutral colors that make it cool. Even though it's not too big, we can feel that the room is very comfortable to live in. Don't forget to take a peek at the bathroom, which even though it is only 90 cm wide, can still have a sink and shower space.

What is unique about this house is that it has a growing house concept which has been prepared from the start. In phase 2, some part of the back garden will become a prayer room on the 1st floor and a children's room + bathroom on the 2nd floor. Careful design from the start means that this addition only requires removing 1 wall, saving material and work time later.

And, don't forget to watch the video until the end because Mas Salman will reveal the size of the budget for this house. It turns out that the budget is not too big, but the results are very optimal. With a very limited construction budget, the architectural team succeeded in creating a functional and aesthetic space within the limitations.
