Hi Welcome to my first video.

This is a little story about how we transformed our small rental kitchen into the heart of our first home.

Our old kitchen was not the most functional, as a short person I couldn't reach 75% of the things in the upper cabinets, and the pantry was a huge mess all the time Since we were on strict lockdown, delivery times were long and we had our day jobs (meaning we could only really work on the kitchen on weekends), it took about 2 months to finish up everything. It definitely took longer than I expected, but it was worth all the sweat!

It is now our favourite place in the whole apartment~ We hope you enjoy going on this journey with us!

F A Q

faq is this a small kitchen??
A: I understand that my kitchen is not the smallest my old kitchen was less than 2m², so I know the pains of having a TINY kitchen. According to Pat, this kitchen is considered a small one in Germany, and as someone who cooks all the time, this kitchen is still too small for what my heart desires

faq why block half the window with the fridge?
A: We don't get much light from the window, so blocking half of it didn't make much of a difference + we have bright ceiling lights & another lamp on top of the fridge. It's not ideal but due to ergonomics of the space, it's the most practical spot. We previously had it in the middle, and it made the kitchen look smaller + was very annoying to access. We love where it is now! :D

faq why not remove the door?
A: Our dishwasher and washing machine are super loud, the door is an extremely good sound blocker since we are working from home, it's very practical
