7 Salt Alternatives -- Salt Free Seasoning Ingredients To Add Amazing Flavor!

Today I share my 7 salt alternatives that I use to get a salty taste without actually using salt. Salt makes your body hold on to water. If you eat too much salt, the extra water stored in your body raises your blood pressure. The higher your blood pressure, the greater the strain on your heart, arteries, kidneys and brain. This can lead to heart attacks, strokes, dementia and kidney disease. Studies have also linked salt to stomach cancer and can also stimulate our saliva glands and make us overeat.

So as you can see, it's a good idea to find alternatives that will still make your food taste amazing.

The ingredients I like to use instead of salt are:

1. Miso paste
2. Nori sheets
3. Herbs and spices chili, white pepper
4. Lemon juice
5. Vegetable juice Celery, beetroot, tomato juice
6. Nutritional yeast flakes
7. Onion and garlic, dried chives, onion powder
