Apple has introduced new Air and Pro iPads in 2024, featuring improved displays, turbocharged processors, improved cameras, and compatibility with Apple Pencil Pro. However, the iPad Pro has lost its ultrawide dual rear cameras, a single 12MP rear camera, and a lone USBC port. Despite supporting mmWave 5G, Apple removed the SIM card tray from the iPad Pro, resulting in sub6GHz 5G speeds. Both Air and Pro have eSIM, an embedded SIM card configurable by downloadable profiles. The new Apple Pencil Pro is Apple Pencil friendly, featuring haptic engine, gyroscope, and Find My. Despite 14 years of CPU and component efficiency improvements, the iPads offer 10 hours of WiFi online browsing.
