How To Repair SMPS || SMPS Repair Step By Step || Switch Mode Power Supply . because a smps circuit is electronic components based power converter, which takes line voltage, then converts it into dc voltage. afterwards these DC voltage are chopped in high frequency based pulse width modulation PWM based IC and the power mosfet, which are passed through a power transformer, after transformer, it will rectified into dc voltage. a feedback circuit is incorporated to maintain the voltage regulation. some circuits have a current limiting / current regulation circuit.
