There are (at least) 5 reasons why I'd never buy a Volvo Truck!

1. They all look the same. If I'm going to spend big money on a truck, I want it to be at least look decent and somewhat unique. There are 10's of thousands of Volvos on the highway as they are a popular fleet truck, purchased by many of the big carriers. I like to call them 'cookie cutter' trucks.

2. Where the heck is the hood? A hood is for good looks, but it also serves a purpose. I couldn't bear owning a truck WITHOUT A HOOD!

3. They're fugly. No denying it. They are not a good looking truck. Yes, they do the job and if spec'ed correctly, they probably do the job well, but wow do they look UGLY doing it!

4. Poor resale value. At trade in time, values for Volvo trucks can be very low. The market is often flooded with these trucks, as they are SO many of them out there.

5. I prefer trucks that are truly NORTH AMERICAN trucks. Although there are plants in the US, they are truly a European truck and aren't North American based.

Volvos definitely work for some truckers, but they don't appeal to me. AT ALL!!!

But each to their own!
