One of the joys of D&D is finding that hoard of gorgeous treasure filled with gems and piles and piles of gold.

But in 5th edition, there just isn't that much to spend it on. Magic items are generally considered to rare to just find in most shops which is what we would usually spend it on.

So what gear that is available to the average adventurer is worth spending some coin to acquire.
