Big, bigger, biggest. There is more and more debate about whether expedition vehicle manufacturers are asking for increasingly unrealistic prices. After all, everything used to be affordable. But is that really true? Or is it more the case that people are more often glamping rather than camping nowadays?

Those who prefer to travel with an affordable and easytohandle vehicle, should take note of these vehicles and conversions.

The new price for these five readytogo offroaders is between 50 and 70,000 euros and thus around the same as a normal camper van. A price range that has remained relatively stable over the past 35 years, as revealed by having a look at back copies of the “Tours” magazine. Measured against gross annual earnings, campers have always paid around 1.5 times their annual income for a new motorhome.
