The War Service of Sherlock Holmes is one of the stories from the collection entitled His Last Bow by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It was first published in September 1917 in Strand Magazine. It is told in the third person instead of the usual first person narration by Dr John Watson.

It is a patriotic piece, with German spies and the famous line about the east wind.
