We have learned a LOT in our past two winters in the van. Spending nights with 15 degree temperatures outside can really test you while you’re living in a metal box. For some reason, a lot more seems to go wrong in the winter as well.

Since we rely on our batteries to run our heater (and everything else) in the van, it’s super important that our batteries stay charged and don’t freeze. We’re upgrading to 3 of Renogy’s SelfHeating Smart Lithium batteries so that we don’t have another night with exploding kombucha.

We’re super excited for our third winter in the van and hope the snow can live up to this past season :)
